Five days across Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — the Golden Triangle at a comfortable pace, with a full day in each city and the Taj at dawn.
Why you’ll love this journey
- The Taj Mahal at sunrise, before the crowds
- Old and New Delhi — Mughal forts and quiet tombs
- Amber Fort and the palaces of the Pink City
- Your own car, driver and licensed guides throughout — never a group
Day by day
Day 1 · Delhi
Arrival in Delhi. Your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall at Indira Gandhi International Airport and drives you to your hotel. The evening is yours to rest after the flight. If you arrive early and feel up to it, we can add a gentle first drive through the wide avenues of Lutyens’ Delhi, past India Gate as the lights come on.
Day 2 · Delhi
A full day in Old and New Delhi. A whole day across the two faces of the capital with your private guide. The morning is Old Delhi — the vast courtyard of the Jama Masjid, a cycle-rickshaw ride through the spice markets and silver lanes of Chandni Chowk, and a quiet pause at Raj Ghat, Gandhi’s memorial. After lunch you cross to New Delhi for the UNESCO-listed Humayun’s Tomb, the towering Qutub Minar, and a slow drive down Rajpath past India Gate, the Presidential Palace and Parliament.
Day 3 · Agra
Delhi to Agra, and Agra Fort. After breakfast you leave the capital on the Yamuna Expressway and reach Agra in about three and a half hours. The afternoon belongs to Agra Fort, the red-sandstone seat of Mughal power, its marble palaces looking across the river to the Taj. As the day cools, we stop at Mehtab Bagh, the riverside garden that frames the Taj Mahal at sunset — the perfect prelude to seeing it up close at dawn.
Day 4 · Jaipur
Taj Mahal at sunrise, then Jaipur. You reach the Taj Mahal at first light, when the marble shifts from grey to rose to white and the crowds are still thin — the finest hour to see it, your guide unfolding the story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. After a late breakfast the road turns west to Jaipur, breaking at Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s red-sandstone capital abandoned almost intact four centuries ago. You reach the Pink City by evening, the night at leisure.
Day 5 · Jaipur & Delhi
Jaipur, then the road back to Delhi. The morning is given to the Amber Fort in its best light and, back in the city, the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal. In the afternoon the road returns you to Delhi, about five to six hours, timed to your onward flight.

Common questions
What is the ideal Golden Triangle itinerary?
For most first-time visitors, five days is the sweet spot — a full day each in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the Taj Mahal at sunrise, and time left open for markets and slower mornings. It balances the highlights with an unhurried pace.
How much time do you spend at the Taj Mahal?
You reach the Taj Mahal at first light and spend around two hours as the marble changes colour and the crowds are still thin, with a licensed guide. Agra Fort and a sunset view from Mehtab Bagh across the river complete the Agra stay.
Can the 5-day Golden Triangle tour be extended?
Yes — it extends naturally to Ranthambore for tiger safaris, to Udaipur and Jodhpur in Rajasthan, or east to Varanasi on the Ganges. Tell us your dates and interests and we lengthen or reshape the itinerary around them.
